In Love With The KoKo / Lipstick Reviews

As soon as kylie cosmetics released her second koko collection, I was ecstatic. I was not able to grab my hands on the first collection thus I was eager to get the second one. I mean come on, $40 for 3 mattes and 1 lip gloss. I know it sounds a lot for some but considering that one lip kit costs $27, this is such a deal for me. It’s like $10 / tube which is like in the same price range for some other drugstore lip products.

The Buying Experience

The collection was released May 31st, I set an alarm at 5pm cst just so I can be the first ones to line up for it online and get my hands on it before it gets sold out. We all know it always gets sold out on the first day of release. The site almost crashed and I was told to wait for my turn… A few minutes later, I got my turn and was redirected to the check out process. I did not buy anything aside from the lip kit. My bank did not allow me to do so 🙂

A confirmation order was sent right after I made the payment online. On June 1st, I got another email stating that they shipped my order. I was out of town that weekend but I was tracking the shipment information, 2 days later my order arrived. I was not able to get my hands on it as soon as it arrived Saturday but once we came back home on Sunday, that little black box was on my bed. Shipping was fast, I was pretty impressed by that!

The in love with the koko lip kit includes 3 mattes and one lip gloss.

  • Bunny is a cool midtone mauve.
  • Doll is a true bright tangerine.
  • Baby Girl is a warm muted coral.
  • Sugar Plum is a soft shimmering midtone nude gloss.

I personally like the Bunny shade, it’s perfect if you want something nude to match up with a smokey eye makeup. I have personally used it a lot of times, maybe because I’m more of a nude lips+dramatic eyes combo. I tried the doll too, it’s prefect for summer with it’s bright tangerine color. If you want your lips to pop on a hot summer day, Doll is the perfect shade for that. The baby girl was also a bright coral shade, I prefer using it on a day. I tried using it with Sugar Plum and it created a perfect coral gloss look.

I give it a 9/10 …

The reason why I rated it 9 out of 10 is because I personally don’t like the Tangerine shade. That is the only reason for my personal based score 🙂 however, the quality of the lip product is quite amazing, it would last you until the next day if you won’t remove it with a make up remover. I am a hoarder of liquid lipsticks and I’ve tried several ones from drugstore to branded make up products, but this one did not disappoint me. I am pretty happy with the first purchase I made from kylie cosmetics.

So this is it for now loves, xiao!
